Tragedy Strikes as House Boy Killed University Lecturer in Anambra

A yet-to-be-identified house boy has allegedly taken the life of his employer, a university lecturer, in Anambra State. The incident occurred on Friday night in the Ifite community of Awka South Local Government Area. The victim, Chima Anolue, was a respected lecturer in the Psychology department at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

The horrific details of the crime were revealed in a circulating video clip, where the suspect is seen being interrogated by unidentified individuals.

In a chilling confession, the suspect admitted to hitting the victim with a pestle during a heated argument, leading to his demise.

The suspect, reportedly from Abakaliki in Ebonyi State, claimed that Mr. Anolue had asked him to cook rice upon returning home from work.

During the preparation, the victim questioned why the dirty plates in the house had not been washed, but the suspect chose not to respond.

This sparked an altercation, during which the victim allegedly slapped the suspect. Angered by the assault, the suspect retaliated by grabbing a nearby pestle and striking Mr. Anolue's head three times.

The video clip also captured the victim's lifeless body on a hospital bed, further intensifying the gravity of the situation.

In the background, a woman can be heard shouting at the suspect, expressing her anger and demanding justice.

The Anambra State Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, stated on Monday that he was unaware of the incident.

Chika Eneh, the spokesperson for Nnamdi Azikiwe University, confirmed that the chief security officer of the institution had not yet provided her with information regarding the incident.
