Governor Zulum Give Temporary Site for New Federal College of Education in Gwoza

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has taken a significant step towards the development of education in the state by allocating a temporary site for the newly established Federal College of Education (FCE) in Gwoza. Governor Zulum granted approval for the use of a Government Secondary School in the town of Vile, which is located in Gwoza Local Government Area.

This move marks a historic moment for Borno State, as it is the first time the state has been home to a Federal College of Education since its establishment in 1976.

While most other states in Nigeria have federal universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, Borno had been lacking in these institutions until recently when they were established by the Buhari administration.

Governor Zulum, who has been actively involved in enhancing educational opportunities in the state, played a crucial role in facilitating the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic in Monguno.

Now, he has extended his support to the Federal College of Education in Vile, Gwoza, by approving the use of the Government Secondary School as a temporary site for the college to commence its operations.

During his visit to Gwoza on Saturday, Governor Zulum conducted an assessment of the temporary site, which is situated along the Gwoza-Mubi highway.

 Recognizing the importance of providing a conducive learning environment, he also directed for the immediate rehabilitation of the Government Secondary School in Vile.

Governor Zulum's administration has consistently demonstrated its commitment to complementing the efforts of the Federal Government in improving education in Borno State.

By ensuring that the necessary requirements are met for federal institutions to function effectively, the governor has been instrumental in expanding educational opportunities for the people of the state.
