Elizade University Secures NUC Approval for New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs

Elizade University in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, has recently received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to expand its range of academic programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This accreditation marks a significant milestone for the institution and demonstrates its commitment to providing quality education across various disciplines.

According to Omololu Adegbenro, the Registrar of Elizade University, the approval was granted following a comprehensive resource verification exercise conducted by the NUC in April. The university underwent a rigorous assessment process, which included evaluating its infrastructure, faculty, and overall preparedness to offer the new programs.

At the undergraduate level, Elizade University has been given the green light to introduce two additional programs: Human Physiology and Human Anatomy. These programs will contribute to the university's existing academic offerings, providing students with more options to pursue their academic interests and career goals.

In terms of postgraduate programs, Elizade University has received approval for several Master's and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs. These include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, and Automotive Engineering.

The university is also authorized to offer postgraduate degrees in Mass Communication, as well as Tourism and Hospitality Management. This diverse range of programs reflects Elizade University's commitment to catering to the evolving needs of students and industry demands.

Adegbenro highlighted that a team of experts was assembled to assess the university's level of preparedness to offer these new programs. Their evaluation resulted in a positive outcome, granting Elizade University a clean bill of health and affirming its ability to deliver quality education in the approved disciplines.
