Benue Ex-Corps Member Sweeps National Recognition at NYSC DG CDS Awards

Ogunleye Paulinarh Bolatito, a former Corps Member with the Batch BN/22A/3096, has been honored as the overall best candidate nationwide in the Director General's Community Development Service (CDS) Personal project category at the recently held launching of the 2023 CDS activities. The event, which took place in Abuja, celebrated the remarkable contributions of Corps Members to their host communities during their service year.


Miss Ogunleye's recognition stems from her selfless dedication and impact on the community she served in. Her exceptional performance across all four key areas of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) - the Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding-Up/Passing-Out - played a significant role in securing her well-deserved accolade.

During her service year, Miss Ogunleye undertook several personal projects that made a tangible difference in the lives of those around her. Notably, she provided free dental treatments and pro-dental care kits to her immediate host community, Kukighir. This initiative aimed to improve dental health awareness and accessibility for the community members.


Additionally, she facilitated the provision of 50 classroom desks for LGEA Primary School NAF Base and Arabic Primary School, addressing the pressing need for suitable learning environments for the students. Furthermore, Miss Ogunleye sponsored the tuition fees of 50 underprivileged students from Government Model Secondary School, Makurdi, and Government Girls College Wadata, enabling them to continue their education despite financial constraints.


Throughout her service year, Miss Paulinarh demonstrated exceptional commitment to the NYSC ideals. She served as the General Secretary of the Digital Onboarders CDS group, actively contributing to the group's activities and initiatives. Moreover, she also took part as one of the enumerators for the National Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP), an important government initiative aimed at providing nutritious meals to school children.


The NYSC DG CDS Award serves as a testament to Miss Ogunleye's remarkable achievements and dedication to community development. Her projects exemplify the transformative impact that Corps Members can have on society by implementing sustainable initiatives and addressing pressing societal needs.


In recognition of her outstanding performance, Ogunleye Paulinarh Bolatito was presented with the prestigious NYSC DG CDS Award trophy, a symbol of her hard work and commitment to making a positive change in her community. Her remarkable accomplishments serve as an inspiration to current and future Corps Members, encouraging them to go above and beyond in their service to the nation.
