Lagos RRS advises Nigerian students to steer clear from Malian lifestyle

Students warned to stop living Malian lifestyle

The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Wednesday cautioned students against carrying on with the road way of life called "The Marlian".

"Marlians" are hardcore supporters of music star, Naira Marley, genuine name Afeez Fashola.

The Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Olatunji Disu talked at the "Security Day" Celebration sorted out by some law requirement organizations in Lagos on Wednesday.

He said Marlian way of life isn't what a dependable students should copy.

"The Marlians likewise change their characteristic hairs to dreadlocks, smoke unlawful substances and live exceptionally harsh ways of life and other anomalous mentalities", NAN cited Disu as saying.

Disu likewise prompted the students not to join 'Eiye' and other unlawful confraternities and mystery cliques regardless of what they were offering imminent individuals.

"If you join any secret and illegal cult, you are not sure of coming out alive. Moreover, it will affect the entire family system of its members.
“The cultists also depend heavily on the use of illicit drugs to drive them high. This has contributed to the high rate of crime in the country,” he said.

Disu additionally prompted the students not to become really excited by internet based life interruptions.

He further encouraged them to be security savvy  “and remember your parents need you to take care of them at their old ages”.
